- Welcome to the {COMMO} host mode.
-
- This help screen will describe all of the available options on
- the host main menu and there exact functions.
-
- ARJ View:
-
- This option will allow you to view a ARJ file archive.
- Simply specify the full filename to view, including the
- ARJ extension. The host will then prepare a file and display it to you.
-
- BLINK Transfers:
-
- This command simply does a ASCII upload.
- This was added for blind users of {COMMO} that require this kind of
- transfer to download files to the Braille N Speak.
-
- Change Directory:
-
- This command will allow you to change
- directories on the current drive. Simply
- enter the name of the directory as though you
- were doing a CD command.
-
- Download:
-
- This command will allow you to download files that are
- found in the current directory. Three transfer
- protocols are available. Select the one you require
- and follow the prompts.
-
- Event Shutdown:
-
- This command will allow you to shutdown the host until
- a specific time. Enter the time in 24-hour format when
- asked for the time. {COMMO} will then hang up the
- modem, shutdown and not come back to host activation until the
- specified time has been reached. A password MUST be given before you can
- shutdown down the host.
-
- File list:
-
- This command does a directory of the current directory.
-
- Good Bye:
-
- This command logs you off.
-
- Help:
-
- This command will display this help screen.
-
- List a LZH file:
-
- This command does the same as the ARJ file view except for a LZH type archive.
-
- Page the Sysop:
-
- This command will allow you to chat with the sysop.
-
- Shell to DOS:
-
- This command will allow you to shell to DOS. A
- password is required for this option to work. This shell requires the
- shareware program DOORWAY.
-
- Type a File:
-
- This command will display the specified file one
- screen at a time until the entire file is shown.
-
- Upload:
-
- This command will allow you to upload files to the
- host. Three transfer protocols are available. Select
- the one you require and follow the prompts.
-
- View a ZIP:
-
- This command does the same thing as the ARJ view
- except it only works on ZIP type files.
-
- Change Drive:
-
- This command will allow you to change the drive
- default. {COMMO} simply performs a execute of the
- command you type. This means that this command
- could be used for basically performing any DOS command, not just changing
- drives.
-
- Shutdown:
-
- This command shuts down the host. A password is required.
